Sarah's Pick: The Sensual World by Kate Bush
Absolutely haunting and so different from everything else. Check out "Rocket's Tail" with the Trio Bulgarka ... I mean, what IS that? Plus you can't beat "This Woman's Work" for a tear jerker and every song is so moody and deep. Love it!!

No Name's Pick: Decomposer by The Matches
I remember these guys when they were the locals - pop punkers rocking out at imusiccast in Oakland - playing acoustic in front of every show - this CD really illustrates their growth and true musical talent - is it art rock - is it punk - is it rock - is it opera - who cares in the end you're left with a record that bends musical genres and leaves you wanting more!

Jayn's Pick: Joshua Tree by U2
Gotta start with the big guns... if I absolutely HAD to choose one CD out of every one ever released, it'd be this one. There isn't a song on this CD that shouldn't win a freaking Pulitzer Prize. "With or Without You" and "Running to Stand Still" are particularly shattering ...

Dayna's Pick: What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits by The Doobie Brothers
It's not just great music, it's amazing lyrics and it's the memories of my childhood. It's my own soundtrack.

No Name's Pick: Dear You by Jawbreaker
I'm a big fan of local music - and Jawbreaker was such an awesome band - this was their last record and their big major label debut - it was slammed pretty hard by a lot of their die hard fans for being to commercial but it was and is my favorite - I never get tired of listening to it - this band was so ahead of their time it's sick - one of the cornerstones of the new emotive movement - without Jawbreaker their probably wouldn't be any "new sound".
